About

Born and raised in Sweden but New York based since 2012 I’m a multidisciplinary* creative director and designer who has found his place in the world of design through constant exploration and variety in the work I takes on. Starting out in 2D animation my path organically forked and expanded throughout the years, seamlessly expanding into design and direction.

Trusting my gut and being open to what inspires has pushed my career into a multitude of capabilities, both hard and soft.

What remains constant is a belief that clear, confident design, both visually and thematically, provide the strongest foundation for generating memorable work.

Photography is a passion which has helped me over the years to develop a strong eye for light and composition and is a constant analog counter balance to the digital work I do.

*In plain english: I like to direct, ideate, design, animate, video edit. Basically I love to be hands on across all aspects if needed.

Services

Creative Direction

Every project needs strong leadership and a clear conceptual and visual direction. With over 15 years of experience in the wider motion graphics industry I’m here to steer your project from the beginning stage all the way over the finish line.

Motion Design

My career has its roots in motion design and animation and I’m still hands on with every project I take on, simply because I love it.

Concept Development

One of my main passions, and the core of what I do, is to develop an idea, whether it’s already established and needs visualization or full conceptual development as well as visual execution.

Design Consulting

As a short sprint or longer, on-going collaboration, I always love to help projects and enterprises with their design needs and challenges.

How I Work

Like the world in general, creative projects and client needs are in constant evolution. As I see it this requires studios and individuals to be more nimble and open to flexible collaboration. Over the years I’ve come to really embrace these aspects and continuously work to embed them into the way I work.

Since no project is the the same, with unique opportunities, needs and constraints I always tailor my approach. Some are big productions that need an in-depth SOW (scope of work), budget proposal and timeline, while others are fast turnaround sprints that might require a daily or hourly rate and schedule flexibility.

This mindset also extends to wether I work solo or put together a team. I believe the modern studio is modular, able to strip down to the individual or all the way up to a full production team.
